“Now that I recall, having a soul wasn’t that bad…”

Past

Everything was black. Heather was the most familiar to this color since it was the only one which comforted her in times of sorrow. She could feel her body floating yet being pushed slowly and softly by a force. She opened her eyes to see that she was standing. Straight like a pole. Not moving, but she could feel a slight momentum. There was no wind. Just a vast emptiness. "Why is Aunt Kelly's house so dark?" she mumbled.

Suddenly, the darkness began to fade and then it was all bright white. White enough to make one blind.Heather was surprisingly able to walk because of this.

She found a mysterious dark cloak. It seemed to float and had a face which remained hidden as it slowly approached her. "Beep,beep....beep,beep" these strange sounds started as the figure was nearing her. Her body froze, her skin shivered and the pupils dilated with the forehead drenched in sweat. She started to breath heavily.

The sounds never seemed to shut off as they became faster and faster and yet the ghost-like entity was still coming. She took a deep breath and prepared to run by gripping her feet properly on the sleek, ceramic-like floor so she could immediately turn back and run.

"Beep, beep, beep, beep!" The sounds became unimaginably faster and the figure raced towards Heather. "Ahhhhh!!!" she screamed in terror as her body stopped moving. During the next split second, she was ultimately able to catch a glance of that face.

It was Aunt Kelly's, yet snow white and the eyes gurgling out blood with two sharp horns sticking out the chin. She was so frightened by the sight that when she opened her eyes again to find herself. She remained unharmed, and that everything had disappeared once again.

Chapter 2

Her body was cold. She could not feel her legs anymore. The only thing she knew that she was not floating this time. There was a strange feeling of being pinned to the ground. Then there was a sudden urge to sneeze. "Achoo", as the sound echoed through the place, the world seemed to light up.

It was a fluid, with very vibrant shades, being bluish yet golden. It looked that the substance was luminescent. The surroundings were nothing but this substance spread all over. There was no sky or ground and then came a deadly circumstance.

Heather could not breath, her gut was hurting as if somebody placed a punching machine near it. There was absolutely no oxygen. "Help..." she was hardly able to cough out these words when a sound reached her. "Try not to make any sounds. When the Super-luma fluid lights up, it takes away all the oxygen."

After hearing those words, she kept quiet and the environment slowly darkened until it blackened out again. By the time it happened, she passed out.
